Who We Are

Oak Gardening Services was established in 2008 by my father. After spending 30 years in the Police he made the decision to start a business in something he was passionate about. Having been a keen amateur gardener for all his adult life he studied at the Royal Botanic Garden in Edinburgh and obtained his RHS Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Horticulture.

In 2016 I was at a crossroad in my life. After school I had obtained an Accountancy and Finance degree from the University of Stirling and was working in the financial sector in Glasgow. When my dad advised he was looking to sell the business it piqued my interest and I decided to leave my job in Glasgow and embark on a gardening career. Looking back it was one of the best decisions of my life. I am extremely passionate about all aspects of gardening and most of my free time is spent studying different techniques on how to get the most out of a garden. I am also currently studying the RHS Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Horticulture.

 

Oak Gardening Services is based in Ayrshire and currently covers West and Central Scotland offering advice and garden care for both private and commercial customers. We pride ourselves in providing a professional, reliable and quality service whilst maintaining good communication with all customers.

We are proud to be members of various trade bodies including the UK Lawn Care Association, SafeContractor and the Federation of Small Businesses. This helps keep the company up to date with best practice while ensuring all work carried out is to the highest standard in health and safety.
